soy contains naturally occurring phytoestrogens. Contrary to popular belief, these are not hormones as such, but phytochemicals that are similar in structure to estradiol 17ß, the natural female hormone oestrogen. There is no scientific proof that a moderate consumption of soy impacts hormone levels. For our Protein Muesli, we’ve taken preventive measures and naturally process our soy flakes to remove nearly 90% of the phytoestrogen content. Better safe than sorry, we say.
